Jim Ritchie has joined the firm as a Senior Consulting Actuary in our Bolton Retirement division. Mr. Ritchie has nearly 30 years of experience delivering comprehensive employee benefit plan and consulting, actuarial and plan administration services to a wide variety of plan sponsors, including publicly traded and privately held companies, multinational corporations, not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities. He has a demonstrated history of partnering with HR and Finance leaders to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their employee benefit programs.
Prior to joining Bolton, Jim was a Partner at Mercer for four years and Aon Hewitt for 24 years in those firms’ Baltimore offices. Most recently, he was a Senior Manager with Deloitte Consulting in Rosslyn, VA.
Jim has established himself as a trusted advisor and creative thinker when working together with his clients to achieve their objectives in designing, managing and financing their retirement and benefit programs. His clients have included well known Baltimore area hospital systems, manufacturing companies, financial organizations, and a high profile professional sports league. He has served in various management capacities throughout his career, including actuarial practice leadership and national advisory committees, as well as speaking at various professional meetings.
Mr. Ritchie is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Actuarial Science, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity for students pursuing careers in business.
